When I went to visit my friend in aprill I had the chance to sit there and watch some cartoons with her little girl and I discovered the dellightful world of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Now when I was little I remember watching My Little Pony and collecting the cute pony toys but they definitely have nothing on this new series! I all of a sudden understand the draw for Bronies and most of all the art itself screams to me.
Wow talk about bright and fun colour combinations! From the loud and vibrant Rainbow Dash to the soft and delicate Fluttershy the colour schemes are fun and some are definitely ones I never would have thought of. The show itself is so much fun and I don't think I have ever finished an episode without feeling happier afterwards.
As tribute to this adorable and fun show, I decided to knit a shawl in every pony colour combination of the main characters. I orginially planned on only doing the 6 main ponies, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Rarity and my personal favourite, Pinky Pie. But then I had to extend it to the adorable Cutie Mark Crusaders, Applebloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle. Then this weekend my boyfriend and my best friend reminded me about the princesses so now I'll be doing Princess Celestia, Luna and Cadence. Yes I was on a mission! Shawls everywhere!
